Although mostly dirt right now, Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is best known for being the site built specific home of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix for 2012-2021 and the United States MotoGP for 2013-2022.
But, it will eventually be more than just a racetrack!
It is designed to be a year-round, multifunctional world-class performance, entertainment and business destination in Austin, Texas.
It is well located only 5 minutes from Austin Bergstrom International Airport for commercial airlines and about 15-20 minutes from the new Austin Executive Airport for overflow corporate and private jets.
All encompasing features of the Master Plan far exceed what most of us envision. They include the components of:
Business
- State-of-the-art business conference center with a commercial kitchen capable of accommodating 500 people
- First-class Banquet Hall capable of accommodating groups of 250-1000 people with service and public elevators and a commercial kitchen
- 14 two-story Executive Meeting Suites with a capacity of 60 people per suite

Research & Development and Training
- Medical Trauma Center with an enclosed ambulance bay and outdoor chemical shower. The Center can be used not only on race days but also by EMS and training for students.
- Law Enforcement, Firefighter and Emergency Responder training areas
- Automotive Driving Academy for manufacturers, such as possibly BMW, Mercedes or Audi, to test, launch and educate consumers via classroom settings, virtual driver training and on-track driving experiences
- Schwantz Motorcycle Riding School – the world-renowned Kevin Schwantz is expected to have a presence of his school at the facility.

Entertainment
- First-class Banquet Hall capable of accommodating groups of 250-1000 people with service and public elevators and a commercial kitchen
- Live Outdoor Music and Entertainment area large enough to host world-class artists
- Outdoor Kart Circuit – open to the public, the track will specialize in custom group events and team building programs for youth and adults of all ages
- Space to be utilized for charity bike rides and running activities to be held away from street lights and vehicle traffic.

- Education partnerships with Central Texas universities, colleges and high schools ranging from Landscape Architecture to Hospitality Training.
- Potential sustainability projects with area universities focused on energy efficiency, water retention and protection, habitat restoration, fossil fuel alternatives and cutting-edge flywheel-based mechanical hybrid Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS)
- Infrastructure to focus on technology innovations, exploration and developments of math and science, and cultivation of business skills.
